Friends of Deckers Creek
As Friends of Deckers Creek's education coordinator, I wrote, edited, and carried out education, outreach, scientific, and
capacity-building grants. I also developed and led environmental curriculum for K-12 students and partnering with local organizations, educators, community members, and government agencies to carry out educational programming.
In addition to educational activities, I planned and led outreach, volunteer, and fundraising events. I promoted the organization through social media posts, newsletters, and press releases and assisted in designing the organization's website, handouts, posters, and mailouts.

Working under the College's Director of Marketing and Communications, my responsibilities included conducting interviews with faculty, students, donors and alumni; writing/editing feature-length articles the College’s biannual magazine; and writing/editing press releases for WVUToday (West Virginia University’s e-news outlet).
